Drilling Engineer

Job Summary:
The Drilling Engineer will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing drilling operations. This role will work closely with field supervisors, geologists, and other engineering disciplines to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective well delivery.

Design drilling programs, including casing, mud, and bit selection, with an emphasis on performance and safety.

Monitor real-time drilling operations and provide engineering support as needed.

Evaluate offset well data and prepare risk assessments.

Lead end-of-well reviews and apply learnings to future designs.

Collaborate with procurement and field teams to source equipment and services cost-effectively.

Stay up to date with regulatory requirements and ensure compliance.

Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.

4+ years of drilling engineering experience, ideally in horizontal drilling and unconventional plays.

Working knowledge of engineering tools (e.g., Landmark, WellPlan, Compass).

Strong project management and communication skills.

Willingness to travel to field locations as needed.
